Furniture in schools and child care centres must be able to take even the hardest use. The lifecycle of Durat is extremely long: made of a homogeneous material, the seamless furniture repels dirt and keeping surfaces clean is easy. The material is also easy to maintain, by sanding until smooth again. It is also easy to repair with Durat glue.

RECYCLABLE AND PROVEN TO BE LOW-EMITTING
For the indoor climate security, Durat has an M1 Emission Classification. The M1 Classification focuses on emissions from building materials and furniture into the indoor air, setting limit values for emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC), formaldehyde, and ammonia as well as the acceptability of odour. The M1 Classification label on the product indicates that the product is low-emitting, and its use supports good indoor air.
Durat is 100% recyclable. When the intended use of a facility changes, Durat buys back furniture taken out of use. The used furniture is then renewed and sold to new users a a Durat Circular product.
DURABLE
Due to its seamless, compact surface structure and durability, Durat is hygienic and very easy to keep clean. Wash basins made entirely of Durat can withstand even heavy wear, repel water and surface scratches can be restored by lightly sanding.
Various sorting openings help keep spaces tidy. The placement and size of the openings can be specified according to need.
BESPOKE FINISHES
Because the material is easy to work with, a variety of details can easily be fabricated to accent the decor of a space.
For example, shelves, cubbies, benches, pulls, sorting tops, window sills or even radiator covers can be fabricated according to the designer’s specific wishes.

FUNCTIONAL AND STYLISH ALTERNATIVES FOR ACCESSIBLE ENVIRONMENTS
Durat products are also perfect for decorating accessible spaces. Thanks to the bespoke service, the right solution can be found for each special need.
Durat has also developed the EST 100 and EST 200 washbasins together with Avaava Oy, a specialist in accessible environments. The size, shape and colour of both washbasin models can be customised with the entire Durat colour palette. Colourful guide strips can be seamlessly integrated in the washbasin design using the intarsia / inlay technique.
Support handles can be cut into the vanity top and height adjustable brackets can be installed under the table. The standard washbasin models, specialised washbasins can also be made according to the customer’s specifications.
In addition, the depth of standard Durat washbasins can also be decreased so that wheelchair users have easier access to them.

RAL colours are our standard colours
Durat is available in most shades of the RAL Classic chart. Using RAL colours, it is easy to create a harmonious look by combining different materials.
New colour combinations can be made with base colours by adding Durat speckles to them. There are eleven standard speckle alternatives of varying colour and size available.
