Collection: For fabricators

Solid surface sheets and sinks for furniture manufacturing.

The Finnish Durat solid surface contains 30% recycled plastic and is 100% recyclable. Post-industrial plastic waste is crushed into small granules, giving Durat its distinctive texture.

Durat is cast into solid surface sheets and molds are used to make different shapes, such as sinks. The standard size of Durat sheet is 2900 x 800 x 12 mm. The sheet can be cast to a thickness of 9-18 mm. The sinks are attached seamlessly to Durat surfaces by gluing. Durat is fabricated with normal woodworking machines.

Feel the warm silky surface of the Durat

Durat is participating in the Habitare Materials & Objects exhibition at Alcova during Milan Design Week from 7 to 13 April 2025.

Habitare Materials is a concept where the exhibits can and should be touched. Fourteen Finnish design manufacturers will be exhibiting together, encouraging visitors fiddling with the texture of the materials and to create their own mood boards from the sample pieces on display. Habitare Materials & Objects will be on show at Alcova's new exhibition venue, Snia, a former viscose factory. The space provides a raw, layered backdrop for the exhibition.

Habitare Materials & Objects highlights ethically and ecologically sustainable Finnish design and material solutions. This year, Habitare Materials will be accompanied for the first time by Objects, a collection of Finnish products ranging from furniture to lighting. Among others, the Objects section features Durat's Pukki stool and Kippo sink.
